Strategic Music Downloading
Most of us have portable music players. And we spend a lot of
time filling them with the most popular music we could ever
find. For players with a big storage capacity, the number of
MP3s to put doesn't matter as we don't really have to select
which music to save.
But for music players with limited drives, it is best to choose
the tunes that we really like to hear. You can also do this
even if you have ipods with large storage capacities so that
you can get rid of those tracks that you often skipped
anyway.
The next time you go online, you must have the "popular music
download" plan. But how are going to accomplish this? Here are
the ways.
Most music players have a built in FM receivers so you can
listen to the radio if you are already tired of that same MP3s
playing over and over again in your ears. The first step to
downloading popular music is to hear the tracks first. Not all
the newly released singles are pleasing to our ears so we have
to select which ones are good enough for our auditory needs.
Then take a mental note of the title of these tunes including
the artist who sang it. You will need it later as keywords for
your download.
Now you can start downloading. No matter which platform you are
using-itunes, Kazaa, Limewire, Napster, or direct site
download-you can search for the song through its title. Most
likely that you will get a lot of search returns. This is where
that name of the artist comes in handy. Go through the list and
look for the right song and then download it.
Once you finished downloading all the tunes you need, don't
just go saving them in your music player just yet. First, you
must take a peek at all the contents of your music player. Plug
it in a computer and view the files. Delete all unwanted songs
and other unused stuff (but make sure to back it up on your PC
first before deleting). For easier access, it is good to
organize all your tunes. Depending on your musical preferences
you can create folders for jazz, rock, alternative, RnB, hip
hop, classical, instrumental, ballads and so on. Create a
separate folder for your popular music downloads and name it
"new hits". This is a technique that some of us put to good
use. More often than others, these are the songs that we like
to hear since they are new releases-no matter which category
they fall under. Plus it will save us the trouble to browse
through all the music categories just to search for them.
Another good way of looking for popular music to download is to
look for billboard top 100s and other radio music charts. It
most likely that you'll find the most popular tunes included in
those lists. Some charts even have separate charts for
different music genres so it is even easier to look for songs
from specific category.
