Reality TV

The first music TV programme that I recall seeing was Ready Steady Go way back in the 60s. Then there was Juke Box Jury, the long running Top of The Pops and the Old Grey Whistle Test. They were all great must see every week programmes but nowadays there isn't a good prime time music TV programme that I can think of.

All we seem to have is reality music TV like the X Factor/American Idol, occasional 'Audience with whoever they can get'. I suppose that Britains got Talent can be semi classed as reality music TV but apart from that I can't think of anything.

I would have liked to make this section exclusively about music on TV but doubt I would have been able to find enough material, so we have a mixture here.

Music Reality TV can be good to watch, but at times it's excruciatingly painful. This video of Ariel Burdett beats anything that I've ever seen. What a scary lady!
